Bajo
Wojciech and Barbara Bajor founded Bajo in 1993. Together with their daughter Anna and a fantastic team of creatives and craftsmen they manufacture high quality wooden toys in their workshop near Kraków, at the foot of the Polish Carpathian Mountains in Poland. Bajo’s focus lies on creating sustainably made wooden toys for children which inspire imaginative and creative play. With years of architectural and design experience under his belt Wojciech is proud of his small family-based business which has designed, made and brought more than one thousand different toy models to the market over the last 25 years.
Bajo uses 14 different types of timber for their wooden toy production, all of it comes from carefully selected regional forests and orchards. Promoting sustainability and only using the safest non-toxic paints and high-quality materials from certified local suppliers has been Bajo’s priority since the beginning. All Bajo’s wooden toys correspond to all EU and US standards and requirements making them safe for children of all ages to play with. Bajo also gives back and supports the local community by participating in many educational and developmental projects.
Bajo’s wooden toys have been made with love and with children and parents in mind. Their wooden toy range includes open-ended and educational toys that foster imagination and are fun to play with. In order to celebrate the 15th birthday of the Gruffalo in 2014, Bajo obtained the licensing rights to exclusively design and produce hand-crafted Gruffalo toys and figurines.
All of Bajo’s toys are hand-checked for quality and will stand up to years of play. Since its foundation in the early 1990’s Bajo has received many awards, including the prestigious Design Award at the Toy Fair in Nuremberg.
